Baby StephenStephen

Stephen's mom likes to hang colorful objects above his crib.

Stephen follows with his eyes and now, at 4 months, reaches and hits with his hands. Sometimes, he kicks with his feet and watches the objects move.

How Your Baby is Developing

  • Fine Motor Development—Uses hands or feet to make contact with objects or people; coordinates eye and hand movements.

Helping Your Baby Grow

  • Provide space and opportunities for baby to move legs, feet, arms and hands to kick, hit and grasp objects
  • Place interesting toys within reach for baby to look or swipe at, hit or kick.
