United Way focuses on three key areas:

2. Meeting Basic Needs 20%
3. Supporting Health and Independence 20%

United Way raises funds in one calendar year to be invested the following year. In 2007, over $78 million was invested in programs, services and partnerships within our community from resources raised in 2006.

Resources Raised in 2007

In 2007, United Way generated more than $89.5 million in financial support. Non-fnancial contributions in the form of in-kind gifts (valued at $844,000) and 276,000 hours of service given by 52,000 volunteers also made a positive difference in the community.
